Installed my second hive in Foxboro on a private farm. had the assistance of my nephew, Ben
Have to dig out from around the hive so e air can get to the bees. We are expecting to get 12 + inches in the immediate Boston area and Randolph is 12 miles South of Boston. Received the Brushy Mountain Bee Catalog yesterday and will plan on one to two more hives. One for the town in Powers Farm (potentially) and one in Foxboro for a farmer. I can get $25 + dollars a month "leasing" out the bees to the farmers in this area. Pretty Cool. Helps for the pollination and sustainability of the farms.
Started a web page for honey sales in the spring. First blog post is to chronicle the adventures in beekeeping in Randolph, MA. I know of one other family in town that sells and produces honey, Birchland Apiaries. Hope to work with them in the future.
